Family therapy and social justice conference (Adelaide)

Family therapy and social justice conference (Adelaide)

Inequality is both the source of difficulties that bring people to therapy and a major impediment to effective service delivery.

Beyond the inequality between client and therapist are those of the wider system including the client and agency, therapist and agency, agency and agency, and policy and society. All act to further disempower the client and create major constraints to effective service delivery.

This conference will explore where family therapy and systemic practice can work effectively at every level of system, from constraints imposed by the wider socio-political world to those in therapeutic practice.

Call for abstracts close 31 May 2017.
