CHCDFV001 Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence (Melbourne CBD)

This 4 day course provides the basic skills, knowledge and understanding to work effectively with women and their children affected by family violence.

You will have opportunities to reflect on your practice, and build on your knowledge and skills with current research and evidence. At the end of the course, you will be able to identify and respond to victim survivors of family violence, and adopt work practices that support sensitive and individualised interactions with those affected by domestic and family violence.

On successful completion of assessment tasks, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for national unit: CHCDFV001 Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence.

Who is this training for?

  • New workers in family violence services
  • Workers in community, health or legal services who have limited experience responding to family violence.
