Critical Legal Issues Map - Identifying Legal Issues (Advanced)

Navigating the legal system, with complex intersections of areas of law, presents many challenges for victim survivors.

Early and ongoing identification of legal issues, followed by referral to legal advice, are important first steps in supporting clients through this. An understanding of legal processes and concepts can further enhance the work of practitioners in supporting their clients as they engage with various jurisdictions, and lead to effective collaboration with lawyers.

Who should attend?

Family Violence specialist practitioners who are providing ongoing support to victim survivors and are involved in their clients’ case planning.

Participation in Critical Legal Issues Map Foundation Training and/or basic knowledge about family violence law, family law and child protection law knowledge is required.

Please note: This is not MARAM training.
